Tanks
Evil Lurks on Whidbey Island
Whidbey Island’s peaceful, bucolic lifestyle is invaded by a deranged psychopath intent on poisoning a significant portion of the population.
The O’Malleys join Deputy Roger Wilkie, world-renowned microbiologist Dr. Andie Saunders, and friends from past episodes in a battle of wits with a dangerously clever adversary.
With unpredictable twists and turns, the challenge of apprehending the evildoer is thwarted by the storm of the century, further challenging the amateur sleuths as they match wits against the formidable villain.
It’s another tongue-in-cheek adventure featuring the retired designers and their faithful German Shepherd.
Review by J.D. Lavender
Howdy y’all! I’ve got a very mind boggling book to share with y’all today. I recently finished Tanks by Ted Mulcahey and the story was absolutely edge of your seat!
“Evil Lurks on Whidbey Island”
You initially learn about the villain and his plans right from the beginning and honestly this had me hooked. The fact that he used one of the greatest ideas on earth to cause a catastrophe just adds more excitement to this story. And I personally think it should be used more in thriller stories and movies.
Moving forward you begin following Kevin O’Malley and his wife Jenne. They live on Whidbey Island and they have the most adorable German Shepherd, Emma. They seem to really enjoy their little area of home but something sinister is lurking on that island and soon it will be released.
Since the villain put his master plan in motion, people have been getting sick. Death tolls have been on the rise and unfortunately nobody really knows who will die next. The doctors want to treat it as a bacterial infection but something just isn’t adding up with how quick people are dying from this infection. And, it only seems that the time is running out and they have no way to know when the infection is going to claim it’s next victim. The villain is still on the loose with barely any trace behind him of what he did. The chances of survival seem low but the O’Malleys refuse to give up. And their faithful dog is always right there with encouragement. To find out more you will have to read this edge of your seat thriller!
Tanks really surprised me. I was not expecting it to have so many twists and turns. The fact that it kicked out with the villain doing sketchy crap really drew me in. I love how he seems to always be just a few steps ahead. I won’t lie I was rooting for everyone in this book, including the villain! The characters are likeable, the story is very believable and the sweet dog just topped it off! I’m giving Tanks a 5 out of 5 star rating. And a very big shout out and thanks to Ted Mulcahey for giving me the opportunity to read this amazing book. And for the fact that I couldn’t put it down!
